When I think of Renoir, I reflect on one of my favorite paintings of this nineteenth-century artist, “A Girl with a Watering Can, 1876.” My other favorite painting is “A Morning Ride in the Bois de Boulogne, 1873.” The beautiful horses that don the portrait of what seems to be a mother riding with her son could have easily been painted in Davie, Florida.
