One Down, One More To Go!

hiThe Miami Hurricanes did well by me today, beating FIU 23-9.
I could not go to the game played at the Orange Bowl, since I had to work, (that’s what I get for being a Realtor!). The game was not on television, so I checked out ESPN.com every chance I got. Alas, a victory.
Many fans for both teams were holding their breath at today’s game, since the last time these teams played each other at the Orange Bowll ast season, a massive brawl ensued half-way through the game, involving most of the players, resulting in suspensions and other tough penalties. The video of the brawl was played by the national media ad-nauseum, since they love to hate my Canes. My very mature reaction at the time was “they (meaning FIU) started it”!
So next week we play Texas, hopefully another victory. The game I am most looking forward to seeing will be played in Tallahassee on October 20th against Florida State University, a bitter rivalry. The only time my daughter, an FSU alum, and I do not see eye to eye. I adore my daughter and would walk through fire for her, but not on October 20th, that day my heart and my hopes for a victory, no, make that a good-old fashioned ass-whopping, belong to the Miami Hurricanes!
So now I am happy at least until tomorrow, when my Miami Dolphins play the Dallas Cowboys at Dolphin Stadium. Hopefully the Dolphins will make the rest of my week a happy one, as the Canes did. I will let you know tomorrow…
