Marco Island….Hideaway Beach, a Secret Paradise
Categories: Luxury Properties, Real Estate News
hi Hideaway Beach is better than ever!
My husband and I recently crossed over to the barrier island while the tide was out (just knee deep water) and there were so many beautiful shells and sand dollars. It is just unbelievable and so much fun to go shelling, fishing or just splash in the water!
At the end of the day after you finish shelling or play golf or tennis, it’s fun to go have dinner at one of my favorite restaurants on Marco Island, Guy Harveys Restaurant
I love making your real estate dreams come true! ![]()

I remember Marco Island when there was nothing on it but a bait and tackle shop. My dad would drive us over early in the morning, we’d pick up some bait at the store and spend the day walking the beach and fishing. There so many fish you’d get tired catching them. And I’m talking big fish, snook, redfish, pompano, whiting, trout, snapper, tarpon. This was fifty years ago. All gone now.
My 1st date with my husband we drove over to the beach for the day, there was only that bait shop and a chickee hut where the Residents Beach is now on San Marco & N. Collier Bl. and that was it!
Dee,
Made the mistake of clicking on your Guy Harvey (is it the radio guy?) link and my mouth started to water. Shouldn’t have clicked on it at lunch time
Guy Harvey is a painter and they use his name for the restaurant and sell his art. There are other locations, not sure where, maybe in Key West. The food is good, the service is excellent and the location is superb!
