hi
The Grand Dame of Football is history. The Orange Bowl is on its last legs, being dismantled and prepared to be sold by the piece to the highest bidder. Every seat, urinal and patch of grass is being offered for sale at auction on February 9th, at 11:00 am. The City of Miami plans to use the profits from the auction to pay for the costs of demolition, which will take place later this year. The Orange Bowl was host to high school, college and NFL games, soccer games, Superbowls and college championship games, as well as concerts. President Kennedy spoke at the Bowl after the Bay of Pigs invasion, and the list goes on and on…. There is one more exciting event taking place before the dreaded demolition. Former and current Miami Dolphin players will play against former University of Miami payers on January 26th. It will be a fun game with a sad ending, when we say goodbye to a place that fills us with memories.ORANGE BOWL – 1937-2008 (R.I.P)Read more about it at Miami Herald
