Getting Ready for Met 1

Mar 22nd 2008
hi

Wasn’t I delighted to find out that I could finally take a look at the 1BR loft unit I will take Title to in April. The combination of the later than expected delivery date coupled with the downward spiral of real estate market had me poised for another disappointment with the finished product. Not so!

Although the units are not yet compete what they will be like is evident and better than I expected. Nice cabinets in the kitchen and bath, solid doors, substantial hardware, quality appliances, and best of all- finished units-NOT DECORATOR READY. What a pleasure to be able to move in and not compete with hundreds of other unit owners to place carpet and tile and then deal with the attendant hallway mess for another year. An if that wasn’t enough, there was a furnished model set up and the opportunity to have your own unit professionally decorated by the date you close. In a market that has disappointed for a couple of years, I think Met 1 will give us something to cheer about.

Thanks Ariel. I didn’t post more photos because the contractor was still working on punch-list items and the unit had not been cleaned. I hope to be able to return in a week or so and see the finished product.

    Tony,

I also purchased a loft at Met 1 and have been anxiously awaiting the completion of the building. I think this project has held its value compared to many others and will really re-define the area.

I was not aware however, that a furnished unit was available for viewing without the TCO. Have you heard anything about closings remaining on schedule for April?

I have not received anything in the mail about furnished options?

Is April realistic with all the work that looks like it still needs to be done?

    Thx

    David,

I think you are right about the Met holding its value. The commercial amenities around it, including Whole Foods, Met Square, the restaurants and even the hotel and office at Met 2 contribute to the urban lifestyle that the Met will offer.

I understand that he TCO should be issued soon and closings will begin later this month. The furnished model is quite nice and I believe they have designers work with you to customize your own unit.

The Sales office has a designated person, Angelica, to take owners to their unit and the model. You wear closed toed shoes-they provide the hard hat.

    See you at the pool.

    Tony
