hiWhew! We survived the FCATs, SATs & NRTs, don’t ask me what they stand for. But after a grueling couple of weeks, my first & third grade kids have survived all the testing. It is a time of serious frustration for parents, teachers & the poor kids. As parents, I want them to do really well & take the tests very serious, yet I do not want to make them panic on test day. It is a fine line!
I am just glad they are over! In recent news, I heard they are trying to make the FCATs later in the year to give more time for kids to prepare. I am not sure if that is a good idea, because as the school year approaches the end it always seems to me that kids get restless & ready for summer break.
