Village of Pinecrest… Fly A Kite!

hiA sense of community? Now… Yes! From the Romero Britto “Flower Pot” sculpture at the entry of the new Pinecrest Community Center & Pinecrest Gardens, to whispers of Roasters and Toasters opening in Pinecrest Gardens, the Village of Pinecrest has created a rendevous point. We are definitely a Village now… in every sense of the word. Can’t imagine a more alluring place for brunch than Pinecrest Gardens …especially with Roasters and Toasters opening (soon?) on the grounds of what was formerly Pinecrest’s Parrot Jungle! (It’s rumored that they’ll serve not only breakfast and lunch, but “supper”as well…! My guess is that that means an “early dinner”… and most likely they’ll have a new name as well)
As part of the Community Center we will have a brand new library… AND an expanse of open GREEN space for almost anything we might want: FLY A KITE… throw a baseball… a Frisbee… play some soccer… have a picnic. Wireless internet service is available throughout the park so you’ll be able to use your laptop indoors or out (and they’ll even RENT YOU A LAPTOP THERE!). For organized sports or just weekend spur-of-the-moment fun… Pinecrest Gardens and Community Center (www.pinecrestgardens.com) has filled in the gap… offering a unique gathering spot for residents of all ages…. and:
Art and Dance Classes
Children’s Programs
Continuing Education Classes.
Game tables, and covered areas
Shady spots to sit and chat, read, or play games
“Abrakadoodle Children’s Summer Art Classes” www.Abrakadoodle.com
“Senior Adults Connect @ the Library” www.MDPLS.org (offering homebound services, talking books, and “BORROW BY MAIL”)
Children’s after-school
Summer camp and seasonal offerings
“Hang-out” for Teens
Fitness Center (with personal trainers!)
… a big selling point for Pinecrest!
