Please take a moment to read this Blog – You could help save a Life! I am currently training for the Walt Disney Marathon in January with a group called Team in Training. Every Saturday we meet at 6:00 AM to train our bodies to walk or run the 26 miles. Every week we push ourselves a little bit more to go further and faster. This past Saturday we reached the 7 Mile mark – only 19 more to go!

This experience has been both physically and mentally challenging. As I walk with my group every Saturday I hear many stories of how this terrible disease has touched my teammates lives. Some are survivors, others have only begun their fight, some have family members struggling to live and others have survived the loss loved ones.

I have made a commitment for my own time and effort, but I have also committed to raise $2,500.00 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I am asking for your help to reach that goal. The question keeps coming up: ”Who was the phenomenal CATERER The Venetian Coral Gables Villas hired for the event at Cernuda Art Gallery in September?” After several requests for information … (each of those neighbors and friends subsequently having hired and reported back with gushing raves) … and one more request right now for “Who was that fabulous caterer that everyone is talking about?” I thought I’d put it in an open blog forum: We used Europa Caterers … Martin Wiles is the contact person at 786 351-1236 europacaterers@bellsouth.net . (If you’d like a personal introduction, I’d be delighted.) We are having them host the ”Red Carpet Event” for The Venetian at Mia Cucina on November 7th. I agree… they are phenomenal! With cool weather just around the corner, our party season is almost here. Starting in October, we will be teased with a few cool days, followed by hot and humid ones, but for most of us the anticipation and party planning are about ready to start.

Whether you are hosting a children’s event or something for friends and family from out of town, the parks in the Village of Pinecrest offer a wide variety of party rental options.

Today is the last day, from noon to 9:00 pm, to get in on this annual free festival on the BHollywood Beach Boardwalk. Last night, I was about to go to a movie with my friends but, fortunately, the tickets were all sold out, and that’s how we ended up on the Boardwalk, along with hundreds of other festival goers. I say fortuantely, because we might have missed out on a really fun evening on the beach, with live music, fresh seafood and local artists displaying their crafts all along the boardwalk. The jazz beat from the band playing on the bandshell put everyone in a lighter mood and the jewellery displays were great: chanel, coach, pandoras, david yurman, lots of knock offs. But even better were the originals, rings necklaces and bracelets, in platinum, wood, and silver, one-of-a-kinds and some vintage. And bumping into other friends was an added bonus. I plan on taking my daughter back this afternoon for the kids activities in the Boardwalk’s Charnow Park. See you there!
