hiThe MLS Stats for September 2008 are uplifting…even in this challenging marketplace! The inventory of newly-listed single family homes and condos have decreased from, not only last month, but from a year ago. Currently, there were 2,027 new listings for September; whereas, a year ago–there were 2,464 (that’s a -18% decrease). Pending sales have increased (let’s hope they all close). There are 838 pending sales this month of single-family homes, while last year during the same period, there were only 279 (a 200% increase)! In addition, 572 homes sold in the month of September–in comparison to the 438 homes that sold in the same period last year (31% increase)! Let’s forget the media, for now–take a deep breathe and know that there is and always will be a great sense of pride in home ownership!
