I know everyone is burned out after a long political season but if you live in the Village of Pinecrest you are not done voting yet.  There will be a runoff election between Mike Guilford and Bob Ross for Seat 1.  The election will be held on November 18 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Early voting will take place this Saturday, October 15th at the new Pinecrest Branch Library, 5835 SW 111 Street, Pinecrest, Florida, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Whoever wins will hit the ground running as the swearing in ceremony will take place on November 19 and the first council meeting with the new council will take place on November 20 at 7:00 p.m. in Village Hall.  Please sign up for e-mails from the Village so you can remain informed.

  1. Kathy Hersh

    Hello Jennifer,

My name is Kathy Hersh. I have lived in Pinecrest since 1990. I have been active since incorporation on the original citizens’ Parks and Recreation Committee and the citizens committee to discern from residents the desired usage of the former Parrot Jungle Property. I worked with Bob Ross to save the Whilden Carrier Cottage from demolition and was active in its receiving historic designation. Bob Ross is one of the most active, committed residents of Pinecrest and has contributed greatly to preserving the quality of life we all enjoy here. I value his vision, his tenacity, and his innate common sense. We are lucky to have Bob giving so freely of his time and energy all these years. I hope you will vote for him and encourage your supporters to do so. He is one of our village’s unsung heroes. He would be a huge asset to have on the village council.
I hope you will support his campaign by voting for him and encouraging others to do so.
