June 17, 2009 – M Group Realty, a premier luxury real estate boutique firm led by Mercedes Saewitz, has merged its Coral Gables-based operation with EWM Realtors, announced Ron Shuffield, president of EWM.
The six year-old firm earned a reputation for its extensive knowledge of up-and-coming areas of Miami-Dade, as well as long-established areas, working with high-end properties in Miami Beach, Golden Beach, Coconut Grove, Pinecrest and others.
“Mercedes (Saewitz) brings a very distinct skill-set to real estate,” says Ron Shuffield, president of EWM. “She grew up in the business, and has tremendous knowledge of the local market, but also brings the added element of having worked in the area’s events services industry for many years.”
Saewitz’s father was Max P. Saewitz, one of the area’s most respected real estate professionals. Prior to opening M Group Realty, she was General Manager for the internationally renowned, privately-held Opium Group.
Saewitz is involved with a number of civic and charitable organizations, among them the Young Founders of Mt. Sinai Hospital, and the Board of Directors of the Young Presidents at Mt. Sinai.
“In the current real estate marketplace, this is a logical step for us,” adds Saewitz. “It allows us to unite with the EWM brand and capitalize on its Christie’s affiliation, while allowing our team to focus on selling, all with the backing of one of the nation’s most expansive real estate enterprises.”
Saewitz and her team will be based out of EWM’s Coral Gables/South Miami office, at 550 South Dixie Highway, Coral Gables, Florida.
