Living in South Miami, High Pines and Coral Gables – The Changing Residential Realtor

Oct 28th 2009
hi

The world of the residential real estate has changed…Customers often start on the internet…Newspaper ads are used more to satisfy sellers than actually to get information out about houses that are for sale….Houses are found by searching “Realtor.com”, “Trulia” and  “You Tube”…..Social Media venues like “Twitter” are introducing buyers to realtors. No longer can the single realtor survive easily…There just isn’t enough time in a day to present property on the internet, show property to buyers, to communicate over social media outlets, and to handle all the varied situations that occur on a daily basis…So what is happening…. Savvy realtors are grouping together in teams to handle the changing demands of the industry…My team, Heatley Real Estate, consists of my wife, Susan, a  successful realtor for 20+ years, my son James, a realtor for 5 years  who concentrated on real estate and finance at Clemson University, and myself who spent many years in residential real estate finance with Chase Manhattan Mortgage…Together we are able to provide our clients with the real estate expertise needed in this market….

The other important factor is the  real estate company(broker) with whom your real estate agent “hangs” his/her license…We are proud and happy to be with EWM the largest real estate brokerage company in Miami-Dade County and Broward County. Not only does EWM provide us with all the technologies we require, but it also is  financially strong which provides us with the assurance that our broker will not fail. In this day and age it is comforting to know that we are part of Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway group of companies.
