My son James
and I
decided to check out Fox’s Sherron Inn
(known to all the locals as just Fox’s) since we heard that there was a new owner who had done some renovation. I have been a fan of Fox’s for 30 years or so, and I was concerned that the new owner might have changed the bar and restaurant. Well guess what he hasn’t. The bar and the dark (this is sooooo dark it defines “dark”) dining area remain. The two side dining rooms were remodeled, but as only Fox’s could with black and white marble floors and dark red walls (let your imagination run wild, and you will be able to picture it perfectly). Part of the fun of going to Fox’s is running into the regulars, and today was no exception. James and I sat next to local South Miami real estate attorney,Marshall King, ( I have used him, and I will again) of the firm King & Lancaster who is a top notch local fisherman, and the best story teller I have ever run into. Needless to say James and I had a great lunch, and I am glad to report that the new owner has maintained the ambience of South Miami’s most well known restaurant and bar. This is definitely not a place to miss!
