I received an email from a buyer in China who contacted for information about some properties in Miami. To make a long story short it is a SCAM and you should be aware of it. For more information go to:

Their approach was exactly the same as described in the link I received from Scott Perdigon's office. The previous week I received one from Vietnam from someone who was interested in one of our listings. Different approach and name but similar strategy.

As you know Citizens and other insurance companies are conducting new Mitigation Inspections. They are paying for the inspections an average of $150 per. In March 9, 2010 the Florida Cabinet approved new Mitigation Inspection Forms that are not necessarily more strict, they just changed parameters. The intent is to recover discounts provided to homeowners for improvements done to reduce the risk for wind damage.
