Can we say the market is shifting?

Well, according to the Florida Association of Realtors; Florida existing home sales saw a 20% increase in February of 2009, marking the sixth straight month of sales increase. I think it’s safe to say, some areas have already seen a positive shift for the past 6 months, if not more. Investors are on the purchasing path already right along with the first time home buyer.

This also seems to be the trend that we are experiencing here in the City of Weston, Florida. According to Facts & Trends; Weston’s Inventory on Single Family Homes has decreased for the past eleven (11) consecutive months as sales are increasing;

03/08 —- 815 – Single Family Homes for Sale
02/09 —- 494 – Single Family Homes for Sale

I believe now would be a great time for people to start evaluating there personal needs and wants along with make a buying decision within the next couple of months. If a person needs to know more about a specific area that interest them, their Sales Associate or Realtor should be able to give them the market breakdown for that particular city or sub-division. This will assist a buyer in understanding their market of interest and their buying power.
