The EWM Marketing team is very good at making executive decisions and standing by them. Usually. Sometimes. Well, not always. So, earlier this week when we were fantasizing about which dream house we were going to buy, we ran into a little snag. There are four of us here and we each have a different definition of perfection. What’s most important: Spacious living areas? Fine craftsmanship? A tropical setting? Privacy? Who are we kidding – this is our fantasy dream home and we want it all. In fact, we want more!! We want water. Lots and lots of water. Oceanfront would make us happy.

We are so totally in the right place at the right time. Look what we found practically in our own back yard.

This is exactly what we’ve been searching for — an incredible 2-acre estate right on the Atlantic Ocean in Key Largo. Don’t laugh. We found another closet to drool over. Yes, we know exactly what you’re thinking. Been there … done that. And you’re right – this isn’t the first time the EWM Marketing team has gone gaga over a closet. But take a good look. See the shoe shelves?

Okay. Now go ahead and count the shoes. We found over 50 pairs and that’s not even including the ones we can’t see because they’re hidden behind the center island. Fifty-plus pairs of shoes neatly positioned in one fantabulous closet! Can you seriously blame us for obsessing? What … what??? We’ve said those same words before? Maybe, but this time it’s different.

Besides, it’s not only the closet that has us going. There are lots of other design elements that make this Hammock Lake house a gem and we appreciate them all. Like how about the grand living room with its vaulted ceiling and fireplace? And the formal dining room. And the amazing chef’s kitchen. And the state of the art theater, His and Her offices and the playroom and the exercise room. Oh, we’re back at the closet again. How did that happen?

Insider Info: Breathtaking Estate in Lindbergh’s Landing

Did you ever think about what kind of animal you’d want to be if you weren’t human? We did. What the four of us came up with is a bald eagle, a giraffe and two dogs. Then we started talking about where we’d want to live. We figure the bald eagle can fly anywhere she wants, the giraffe is going to live on a wildlife reserve in Kenya, and both dogs plan to stay local – maybe a nice backyard in Pinecrest. We had everything neatly worked out until we came across this photo of a horse running on his fabulous 11- acre estate in Lindbergh’s Landing in South Miami-Dade County. Suddenly, we all wanted to be horses.

And why wouldn’t he be the picture of contentment? He’s got an amazing Mediterranean-style home with two fireplaces, a library, entertainment room, wet bar and an incredible designer kitchen. Sounds great, yes? Well, that’s just what’s in his Main House. Besides all that, there’s the detached car collector showroom, the game house with home theater, the pool, the pool house, plus the tennis and basketball courts. Let’s see … what are we forgetting? Oh, silly us! How about the 18-hole miniature golf course and the FAA approved air strip.

Thing is, we know some of this wonderfulness is probably lost on the horse. If you asked him what he appreciates most about his private paradise, he’d proudly show you his six barn stable and his training ring. Go figure!

The EWM Marketing Team has been caught dreaming. Again. Listen, that’s not an altogether bad thing. If you take the time and effort to visualize what you want, there’s at least a chance you’ll actually get it. So what we’ve been dreaming about is that we had a house in the Moorings in Coconut Grove. Honestly, it was magnificent. A classic French 2-story manor with 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths. Plus there were 3 half baths for when we don’t really want to take a bath.

The whole house was perfect for us. His and Her offices, a wine cellar, a wet bar, fireplace, tons of French doors and a fabulous kitchen with a breakfast area. When it came to the outside of the house, we put our thinking caps on and made it every bit as dreamy as the inside. There was a sparkly blue pool and a covered grotto area with a huge summer kitchen right beside it.

Aren’t you impressed? So come visit!!! We put a delightful guest house on the property just for you.

Interesting thing is that if you wanted this to be your dream home, you could totally make it happen. No kidding. Look at this photo . . . the house was designed by renowned architect Jorge Hernandez, is partially constructed and, if you make it yours, you get to complete it exactly the way you want.

Can’t you just picture how breathtaking this home would be if you dreamed up the finishing details?

We absolutely love our office space. Everything’s so calm here. How embarrassing! What the EWM Marketing team needs is a space as bright and full of life as we are.

We’re hungry. The Marketing Team worked hard all morning and now what we need is something fabulous to eat. Chips? Cookies? Donuts? Are you kidding??? This is definitely not a junk food moment. We require real honest-to-goodness nourishment to feed our bodies and fuel our creativity. Actually, we think it would be best for us to prepare our own snacks. Nothing out of a box or a bag. Only the finest gourmet ingredients. Everything baked – nothing fried. Tall order, yes? Yes – but we have a plan. Look!! We found the perfect kitchen for our nutritionally correct project.

Isn’t it great? It’s a kitchen in the round – every bit as clever as we are! Can you imagine the wonderfulness we could cook up here? And since the terrific kitchen is in an equally terrific house on Key Biscayne, we can take a nice relaxing walk on the beach after we eat. This is by far the best plan we’ve come up with in a long time!

Insider Info: Enchanted Gardens in Snapper Creek Lakes

As is true everywhere, each of us in Marketing has a special talent. Design, copywriting, strategizing, making café con leche. We do it all. Sometimes, however, it’s good for us to reach beyond our comfort level. Branch out, so to speak. Earlier this week, we decided to do just that. We went to our local nursery and bought a lovely plant. Our goal was to keep it vibrant and healthy here at the office. That was Monday. Today is Friday and it has become painfully clear that we need to rethink our goal. Between the four of us on the Marketing Team, we have eight thumbs. Unfortunately, not one of them is green.

So this morning we were on the lookout for a new home for our plant. A beautiful place where our little one can flourish and be happy. See what we found? It’s right in the back yard of a gorgeous house in Snapper Creek Lakes.

Isn’t this one of the most picturesque gardens you’ve ever seen? Don’t you think our plant would have a long and blissful life here?

Actually, since this property encompasses 1.25 acres, we’re not exactly sure which spot would be the best for our little buddy. The garden in the photo? Maybe out by the pool would be better. Or how about one of the lush areas in the front of the house? If you watch this video you just might find the perfect setting for our green friend . . . or perhaps even for your own plants.

Meetings, meetings, meetings. Honestly, it never ends for us over here in Marketing. Ohhhh, the pressure! A couple of weeks ago, we decided it would be most productive to gather poolside in Gables By The Sea to discuss marketing strategies, resources, insights, hors d’oeuvres. Oops, forget the hors d’oeuvres. This is 100% strictly business. With efficiency as our only goal, we all agreed that change might be good . . . keep us on our toes. So we’ve opted for a new venue directly on the ocean in Sunny Isles Beach. Aren’t we a clever bunch?

How we found out about this strip of wonderfulness is that we made a short video of a beautifully designed condo residence with a view of . . . ta da . . . OUR BEACH! See? There’s our red umbrellas.

Oh dear, we’ve been dreaming again. Well, honestly, can you blame us? Admit it. If you lived in this unit, with its fabulous ocean views, you’d have thoughts of warm sand, gentle waves and pretty red beach umbrellas, too. Here’s the video that got us hooked in the first place.
