I don't know about that, but it is a good bar...Segafredos is about 100 ft. from Bouganvilla, and it looks ready to open in a couple of...Continue Reading!

This being Wednesday, I took the opportunity to visit a number of homes on the market in the $500K to $800K range. Of special interest were homes near the University Of Miami as I am having a new employee of UM come into town this weekend. Unfortunately, there was nothing open in either High Pines or Ponce Davis but there were 2 in Coral Gables near UM which sounded interesting. The first at 5830 Leonardo was really quite nice and...Continue Reading!
Why do my wife, Susan, my son, James, and I hang our licenses with EWM. Quite frankly we think that it is the best real estate company in Miami. The support we get from management, the the tools we have at our finger tips, and the financial strength of working with an affiliate of Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway Corporations just cannot be equaled. We hope that if you are thinking of buying or selling a home in South Miami, High Pines/Ponce...Continue Reading!

Some thoughts from Ron Shuffield, EWM's President...Land prices in Miami have dropped around 50% from their peak. Because there is so much money in Miami a properly priced home should sell...52 % of EWM's deals are all cash compared to 10 % several years ago. The nation's coastal and desert areas are doing better than the interior of the country. EWM is leading all of it's parent 's real estate companies in increased sales.Continue Reading!
Miss Val and I decided to celebrate Bastile Day the correct way...We visited Pascal & Didier at the Le Royal French Bakery in the Blue Mall in downtown South Miami. Paschal & Didier are from Montpelier in the south of France and worked in Paris for 10 years before moving to South Beach for 3 years. 10 years ago they set up shop in South Miami. If you want to go to a real honest to god French bakery, Le...Continue Reading!
Miss Val & her sister Patty, who provides security across Red Road at the Ace Hardware strip center, mentioned to me that we were in the annual summer doldrums which generally last until everyone returns for school. The big problem Wednesday morning was the arrival of a huge but friendly dog who apparently was lost. If you know the owner who has obviously taken good care of the dog, let Miss Val know. Cafe Pastis in the Blue Mall has...Continue Reading!
