This past Monday members of St. Thomas Episcopal Parish in South Coral Gables went down to assist feeding the homeless at the Community Partnership for the Homeless in Downtown Miami. St Thomas does this twice a month in both Downtown Miami & Homestead. It is a busy & hectic 2 hours, but the experience makes you realize that homelessness can unfortunately strike anyone. Finally about 18 months after installing the the new drainage system in the High Pines suburb of Coral Gables & South Miami, Florida, Metro-Dade County has let the contract to repave the the community's roads. Unfortunately I couldn't find anyone who could tell me what was going on so I am assuming that all the roads are going to be repaved.
