This High Pines home finally went under contract yesterday after more than 2 years on the market. The initial asking price was $2,590,000 back in 2008. When the owners reduced the price to $2,100,000 the home went under contract soon after. The house was built in 2007 and features 6 bedrooms, 6 baths with 5,754 square feet of living space. Expensive single family homes are beginning to make a comeback in 2010. In 2010 there have been 13 closings in the South Gables running from the most expensive at 181 E. Sunrise Ave. (which I believe is A Rod's former house and doesn't have a photo) which sold for $8,500,000 to 1020 S. Alhambra Circle which was the least expensive at $760,000. Based on my experience I can't recommend how to deal with Miami-Dade County when you have a housing (for lack of a better term) problem, but I can tell you what worked for me.
